The Dallas-based telecommunications conglomerate, AT&T, has created a suite of blockchain solutions that have been designed to work with IBM and Microsoft’s technologies.
The solutions, which are targeted at enterprise customers, will work with IBM Blockchain and Microsoft Azure blockchain technologies.
The technologies are used within supply chains, provenance, and logistics – aiming to provide accountability and record data.
AT&T aims to help customers “solve their complex business problems” whilst “automat[ing] and digitaliz[ing] their business processes using blockchain technologies.”
The solutions will also use Internet of Things (IoT) to add automation and critical monitoring.
“Blockchain is far more than just Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. It’s transforming the way many companies conduct business,” remarked Andy Daudelin, Vice President of Alliances Business Development at AT&T Business.
“Blockchain improves security and enables better management of transactions through complex processes.”
“Utilizing our global network and IoT capabilities, AT&T enhances blockchain by providing edge-to-edge solutions that automate the tracking and that can even monitor the environmental conditions throughout the process.”
