Cloud spend management firm Ivalua has won a contract to provide power generation firm TransAlta with its Source-to-Pay suite to support its global supply chain initiative, integrated with its SAP system.

The win is the fifth for Ivalua in Canada in the past year, continuing its momentum in that market, and adds to its management of over $500bn in spend across its 250 clients.

TransAlta required a new Integrated Procurement System to support the digital transformation of their Supply Chain Management processes. Ivalua was selected to be the technology backbone and will address process areas that are currently manually intensive and inefficient.

Key business values that TransAlta expects include increased supply chain efficiency, reduced lead times, lower costs and improved supplier performance.

“We are excited to partner with Ivalua to deliver our intensive supply chain optimisation project,” said Dawn de Lima, Chief Administrative Officer at TransAlta.

“After an exhaustive review of all leading vendors, we selected Ivalua for its comprehensive Source-to-Pay platform, flexible architecture and overall ability to give TransAlta a competitive advantage”.

Dan Amzallag, CEO at Ivalua, said: “Production and operations in the energy sector are expensive, high-risk and capital intensive.

“Ivalua enables our customers to streamline complex processes and to track and manage industry-specific attributes and processes across the Source-to-Pay continuum.”
