Timelapse: Painting a Boeing 777 freighter
video description
Uploaded by TNT, this timelapse video shows the TNT 777 Freighter receiving its first coat of paint, a feat which took some 49 days and thousands of workers to complete.
The freighter was manufactured at Boeing's Everett factory, Washington State, USA, the world's largest building in volume, and includes 3 million parts provided by more than 500 suppliers.
It took five days and over 150 gallons (570 litres) of paint to add the distinctive TNT colour to the 209 foot fuselage.
The TNT 777 can accommodate 37 industry-standard pallets (2.5 m x 3.1 m, or 96 in x 125 in), and can fly 9,070 km with a payload of 226,000 lbs (103 metric tons).
