The Freight Summit is expecting more than 600 delegates to attend the event, which will be held at The Venetian in Macau later this month.
As an ‘open source’ event, any independent freight forwarding group, association or network can attend without having to pay an annual membership fee.
The major network groups co-hosting this year’s event include the Combined Logistics Networks, China Logistics Club and Amphion Logistics.
Nils Walle, Director of RW Solutions, organizers of the Summit, said: “The Freight Summit is designed so that as many independent freight forwarders as possible can meet and create potentially hundreds of business opportunities at one event.
“As we do not require membership to attend and we only invite freight professionals, the networking is very focused and means that every meeting potentially creates a business opportunity,” added Walle.
The Freight Summit will organize more than 200,000 meetings at its event in 2010, triple the number when compared to 2008.
The Summit provides a forum for logistics experts and technology providers. It also supports networks to cut the development time of their basic infrastructure from six to 12 months to one to two months by providing branding support, alliance web design and alliance management software.
