Oiltanking, Dupré Logistics form JV
Oiltanking and Dupré Logistics have announced the formation of a joint venture company named Oiltanking-Dupré
The new organization, Oiltanking-Dupré, is dedicated to serving customers in need of material handling for pet coke, and combines the assets of Oiltanking’s worldwide network with Dupré’s experience in dry bulk handling.
The joint venture sees both companies realize their strategy to move into dry bulk handling and other refinery service operations.
As a joint venture, both parties can provide solutions tailored to their customers’ needs, focusing on high productivity of their assets, high customer service and safe operations, leading to costs savings and a more competitive marketplace position.
Based out of Houston, Texas, the company will have the capacity to meet dry bulk needs nationwide.
Oiltanking-Dupré will be structured as a 50-50 joint venture, combining services formerly coupled via client-to-client partnerships.
Both companies will be providing services and support in their area of expertise.
Rick Adams has been named Vice President of Oiltanking-Dupré.
Oiltanking is the second-largest independent tank storage provider for petroleum products, chemicals and gases worldwide.
The company owns and operates 69 terminals in 21 countries within Europe, North and South America, Middle East, India, as well as Asia. Oiltanking has an overall capacity of more than 17.2 million cubic meters.
