Finney joins the company from Goodman Felder, the largest listed food company in Australasia.

In his new role, Finney will be reporting to Molson Coors Chief Executive Mark Hunter.

Thomas is retiring from the business on June 25, after 30 years. Hunter said: “It’s not been easy to find a replacement for Martin... and our search extended overseas, which proved a little tricky for interviewing stages.

“We’re pleased to welcome Lee to Molson Coors, and I am sure that his passion for beer and extensive experience in the supply chain world will be our gain,” Hunter added.

Finney said of his appointment: “The attraction for me was the excitement in this business, great brands and strong momentum, a great people agenda and lots of talent.

“The big challenge is to remain competitive. It’s about being efficient and world-class in our manufacturing and logistics capability.”

Molson Coors’ brands include Carling, Coors and Caffrey’s.
