Polar Speed Distribution will be using Four Soft’s 4S eLog® to optimize the management of its temperature-controlled pharmaceutical distribution warehouses throughout the UK. According to the company, the contract will be carried out through Four Soft’s UK subsidiary.

Polar Speed, one of the UK’s premier temperature-controlled pharmaceutical distributors, ranks number one in the country for flu vaccine distribution. It specializes in meeting the demands of the pharmaceutical market and operates in full conformity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), is licensed by both the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Home Office, and is ISO9001:2000 accredited, the company states.

Under the contract, 4S eLog will increase Polar Speed’s capabilities with complete warehouse traceability and location management for each stage of the company’s warehousing function. Specific requirements included extensive batch traceability, quarantining functionality, as well as real-time interfaces to both SAP and Sage to improve customer relations and speed of processing orders.

4S eLog is built on the modern technology platform J2EE, and covers all aspects of warehouse management including multiple sites and multiple clients being managed from within a single environment. The software also provides full RF capabilities and offers Web visibility to clients, their customers and their suppliers.
