The new routes will leave from Bristol and go to Faro, Gdansk, Palma de Mallorca, Venice and Valencia. In addition, the airline will run flights from Edinburgh to Tampere, from Glasgow to Carcassonne and from Liverpool to Lodz, Rimini and Trapani.

The investment in the new routes will see Ryanair deliver 400,000 additional passengers and sustain 400 new jobs at the airports in 2010.

Its 1.3 million passengers annually will sustain 1,300 jobs in Bristol alone, according to Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara.

“To celebrate these new aircraft, routes and frequencies, Ryanair is extending its 500,000 one pound Christmas seat sale, for travel across Europe in late December, until midnight Friday,” he added.
