Jungheinrich, Europe’s leading forklift manufacturer, has launched a new electric powered pallet truck
By Ellie Duncan
Powered by two maintenance-free 12-volt gel batteries, the truck can transport pallets and loads weighing over a tonne.
The pedestrian controlled EME 114 is capable of travelling five kilometres per hour and can climb gradients of up to 8 percent (unladen) or 5 percent (laden).
Jungheinrich’s engineers also developed a tailored energy management system as part of the vehicle, which means that it comes with a built-in charger that can be plugged into any 13 amp socket. The EME 114 also includes an integrated operating hour meter.
The company manufactures a range of trucks and cranes, including counterbalance trucks, order pickers, stackers, reach trucks and stacker cranes in more than 600 truck variants.
Earlier this year, Jungheinrich announced the launch of a range of counterbalance forklift trucks featuring hydrostatic drive technology, which minimises fuel consumption.
